Meet the Founder
You know that person at every gathering who somehow has whatever it is you need but didn’t bring?
She has an extra notepad and a pen. Probably a Sharpie (or two). Most definitely some kind of tape. Possibly even scissors.
Hi. It’s me. I’m that girl.
I usually have all the things one could POSSIBLY need for whatever MIGHT happen.
Flood. Famine. Cramps.
You get the idea.
I’ve always been the person who sits around contemplating the location, the itinerary, the possible side quests, and the accidental detours that accompany this little journey called life.
And then I pack accordingly.
In multiples.
In fact, I have a friend who will NEVER let me forget the time she had a shoe emergency and desperately needed something to hold it together.
Naturally, I reached into my purse and produced an enormous roll of duct tape.
As one does.
Unfortunately, I didn’t help matters when she asked WHY I had an industrial-sized roll of duct tape in my handbag.
“Because I have kids.”
Apparently, I should have immediately followed that statement with, “AND THEY BREAK THINGS.”
Because the resulting laughter was accompanied by a slightly alarming suspicion that perhaps I was taping my children to the wall whenever Mom needed a break.
For the record, I wasn’t.
Although, now that you mention it…
Anyway.
BACK TO THE STORY.
Sorry about the train derailment. That happens a lot in my world.
Which, coincidentally, is exactly why Fiercely Fabulous was created.
You see, life has absolutely PERFECTED the art of the unexpected detour.
The 45-minute traffic delay.
The coffee you spill on your white blouse two minutes before the board meeting.
The afternoon headache that arrives immediately after the TWELFTH email from Ed in Accounting asking what “fiscal” means.
(Ed faked his degree to get the job. I’m convinced of it.)
And sometimes, despite our very best efforts, life just happens.
At Fiercely Fabulous, I want you to feel a little more confident when it does.
Because whether it’s a stain, a stall, or plain old stupid…
(Sorry. Not sorry, Ed.)
…I want you to know we’ve got your back.
Not because we can prevent every inconvenience, mishap, or unexpected adventure. Good heavens, if I could do that, I’d have a very different business.
But because we’ve all been there.
We’ve all experienced that sinking feeling when something goes wrong at the LEAST convenient moment.
And my hope is that, instead of panic, your next thought is relief.
Because this time?
We’ve Got a Pack for That!
So welcome to my world.
It’s a little unpredictable, occasionally ridiculous, and almost always accompanied by a bag containing far more than any reasonable person should carry.
But there’s room for you here.
And more than anything, I hope I can leave you feeling better than when you came in.
With love and a suspiciously well-stocked handbag,
Betsy
